Crunches definitely work. If you do this many crunches continuously for about 4 weeks you will start to see results.

You’re gonna want to have a regular schedule and stick to it. Go to the gym or get an abs video and do it 1-3 times a week. If you’re a guy it won’t take too long but if you’re a girl, be prepared to wait.

doing just crunches isnt going to do it, you need to do different types of core workouts to help, just one wont cut it. Also the biggest part of having ab’s is having a low body fat percent. under 9 to really get visible definition normally, so do some fat burning routines like circuit training thatll work both your core and your cardio

to see your abs, you need to lose body fat. get a very low body fat percentage and you will have ‘abs.’
Other than that, just do core exercises, not just sit ups.

You can do 1000 crunches a day, but it won’t help you to get abs.
Diet is the most important thing, about 80% how you look!
Cut back on calories, and focus on cardio exercises!

You need to get your metabolism up first and foremost. Crunches will help, but you’ll also need to exercise your core with a military press, or some yoga. Check out Men’s Fitness magazines, they have some good tips, you can even find them online. After your metabolism is up and you’ve worked on crunches and cores, you’ll want to focus on your obliques as well. How long until you see results depends on how hard you work out. An hour a day will get you there faster than an hour a week.

theirs different parts of the ab’s crunches dont work them all out so u gotta find out what works what out and do them like 3-4 times a week.
you also got to be dedicated and have a low percentage of body fat so basicly ur gunna have to run/jog weight off. everyone has ab;’s u just cant see them.
PS- im fat but i have been working on my ab’s for like almost a year only doing like 10-20 crunches a day and i can feel it under my fat. it’s somewhat hard but not fully their yet. plus i havnt been fit for a while i stop working out. and gained like 30 pounds.

the simple answer is that everyone has abs. its just that some people have their abs hidden behind body fat. the best way to shed this body fat and expose those abs is the start eating healthy and do CARDIO! cardio will burn that fat and the healthy eating will keep it away.
crunches will help, but if you want to speed up the process a little besides cardio, instead of performing 200 crunches. try performing 50 with a 45lb. plate on your stomach. heavy resistance forces more blood through the muscle and makes it bigger. the bigger the abs. the better they will show.
