How does a girl get toned abs?
I’m a 14 year old girl and I want to know how to get toned abs. I’m not looking to lose weight, I just want to know what to eat and do to tone my abs so I have muscle instead of fat.
Just ravage your abs with reverse crunches. You can find them on Youtube. Just search for "reverse crunches".
Aside from the RC’s, the bicycle crunches are among the best exercises, too.
Don’t eat too many carbohydrates(sugar and starches). But do eat protein, fat and plenty of vegetables.
Beans are great, and contain plenty of fibers, as well.

If you don’t have to lose weight, all you have to do is abs exercises. Crunches, Pilates, etc…

Well you’re a girl so you’ll never really have THAT much muscle. If you want to tone your abs though, you’ll have to lose weight. Don’t forget that there’s a layer of fat over the muscle. So even if you have very toned abs underneath, they won’t show unless you lose the fat. But you can try doing exercises like crunches and sit-ups and different varieties of abs exercises to get bigger abs. Search online for some ab exercises. Try looking on bodybuilding.com.

You would be amazed that most of the time people who work out moderately have pretty good abs, they are just covered in a sheet of fat, regrettably.
Start a diet lower in carbs and calories than you are used to. Drink water, not soda.
Do a simple ab routine of:
Crunches (to pain X2)
Leg raises (to pain X2)
Try to increase the number as able to progress. As the fat is slowly burned away, you will find that this moderate effort daily has built pretty good abs.
