How do i find out if i have abs on my car?
I have a fiat panda 55 plate I need to know if i have abs unfortunatly i dont know alot about cars and i have no instruction booklet as the old owner lost it.
How can i find out?

1) turn ignition to on. look for the ABS light (5 second bulb test when ignition turned on).
2)look for wheel sensors at the hubs.
3)you can also look for the ABS module at the master cylinder if you know what to look for.

It has ABS as it is required on all cars and has been for some years now

Drive down a quiet road and slam the brakes on to try and skid

look at the master cylinder. you should have a big box with brake lines going to it and another way is look behind the wheels. if you have them you will have sensors behind the wheels.

every car since 1998 is required to have Anti Braking System ABS if your not sure find an empty car park take the car to about 35mph and slam the anchors on and it should judder to a stop its like a pulsing effect on the breaks

easiest way to find out is just go and ask a mechanic or the dealer much safer than trying out your brakes anywhere
