sit ups alone will not give you a six pack. Having a six pack is a sign of having a low body fat percentage. You can have all the muscle in the world in your abdomen, but if your BMI is high, it’ll never show. You need a diet that’s low in fat, high in protein to cut away at the fat in your midsection if you want a six pack.

well the number is zero if you are not going to diet. Because diet is EVERYTHING to have a six pack. Someone with a really healthy low-fat diet will have a six-pack without doing 1 sit-up, why? Because everyone has those muscles it’s just hiding behind fat. Doing sit-up does not get rid of fat.
Get your diet in check and designate 6 days a week of 30-45 minutes of good intense cardio and you will get your sixpack.
And remember this if you don’t diet and do a lot of sit-ups you will look fatter, because you are pushing the fat out instead of burning it.

Maybe a billion sit ups will burn enough calories to get a six pack……
Do not do sit ups. They are bad for your lower back. Do crunches instead. When doing crunches keep your lower back on the floor and do them SLOWLY. Do as many as you can. There is no universal number as to how many you need to do. What you should do is use a combination of a healthy diet, HIGH intensity cardio, and weight training to lower your body fat %.

You can not get a six pack just by doing sit ups. You will need to weight train every muscle you have. You can start to see your abs in six weeks if you use a machine like a Bowflex or weight train at the gym

Forget sit-ups. Sit up straight during the day and build the muscles around your stomach such as your chest and back. Make a tight stomach throughout the day and cut out most sugar from your diet.
If you do that, you can start in April of 2008 and get that result for June of 2008.
Sit-ups make your stomach worse if you don’t diet. If you hit the gym don’t use heavy weights for your stomach, use light weights for the obliques (side muscles) otherwise you will have a solid belly and not a solid six-pack.
