Abs are 70% diet, 30% exercise. You need to be eating a very lean diet to lower body fat percentage (this is not the same thing as losing weight) in addition to a good exercise regimen.
You need at least an hour of cardio per day. Swimming, running, jogging, brisk walking, jump rope, dancing, bicycling (stationary, outdoor, or spinning class) are good bets.
You also need a good regimen of ab work. I’m a big fan of the 6 minute burn:

Yoga will also build an amazing amount of core strength and make that six pack really show through.
However, you can do all of the yoga and 6 minute burns you want, if your diet isn’t damn near perfect, you’ll never see that 6 pack.

you need a diet that will fit your needs currently. eat lots of lean proteins and fiber. exercise everyday, go to the gym, RUN miles. if you do that you will lose a lot of weight. and when you wake up and are skinny it is because naturally when you sleep your body burns calories. but once you eat your breakfast you feel normal again. it happens to everyone

interval running - run as fast as you can until you get tired, then walk/jog until you can run as fast as you can again, repeat until you can’t
leg lifts - lay on the floor and let everything touch the floor(it’s ok if the small of your back doesn’t), raise your feet a couple inches from the ground. hold in place from 30-90 seconds for about 4 sets depending on your fitness level
eating - eat when you’re hungry natural foods

when you work a muscle, you’re stimulating greater cell production in that area. if you want stomach muscles, do exercises that work your stomach (crunches, leg lifts, etc.)
