How can I get a six pack abs? How long it will take to show the result?

Hello, a really quick question.
I am a swimmer, and really want 6 pack abs.
However, swim is not doing everything for the abs.
So any recommendation what I should do to get my abs show up? Such as crutches? How many should I do a day, and when the result will show up? Thanks

do the 300 exercise workout while shouting "sparta, tonight we dine in hell" every repetition. hell ya! cheers!

just do as many ab curls or crunches or whatever anyone wants to call them and do it for a half hour to 45 minutes a day. maybe even 20 minutes. it’ll take maybe a few months but i don’t know for sure.

that’s cool…cause i am a swimmer…..swim four days a week and do land practice two days a week….crunches..running …. sprints… and sit ups. this should get you abs within two weeks cause us swimmers are already lean and in shape.so, good luck.

haha there really is a spartan training, my husband is giving it a shot while he is deployed to Kuwait.

For a Spartan-sized challenge to your daily routine, consider this your new fitness gauntlet:

    a) Pullups - 25 reps

    b) Deadlifts with 135lbs - 50 reps

    c) Pushups - 50 reps

    d) 24-inch Box jumps - 50 reps

    e) Floor wipers - 50 reps

    f) Single-arm Clean-and-Press with 36lbs Kettlebell - 50 reps

    g) Pullups - 25 reps

All exercises are done without scheduled rest between moves. Obviously this is an advanced workout…you shouldn’t do it unless you are already in great shape.

Fortunately, this can all easily be adapted. Appropriate exercises can be subbed in: Drop down to 150 total reps, or 4-6 exercises of 15-25 reps each. For example, you might try this workout, great for a guy with moderate fitness:

    15 bodyweight rows

    25 bodyweight squats

    15 pushups

    50 jumping jacks

    20 mountain climbers

    10 close grip pushups

    15 bodyweight rows

that will get ya some abs.
