How to get more muscle, and a 6 pack abs?

I need help with getting more muscle and i want to get a six pack abs. But idk how to get a six pack abs. I have a deadly disease called cystic fibrosis so i cannot afford to loose fat (only about 14% body fat) because if i go to the hospital my body will need the fat to eat off of. So i just need ab exercises, but extreme ab exercises to make up for not loosing body fat. Also how do get toned?

my belly is flat but it’s not toned, very "jiggly" or as my friend would say "soft and supple"
I want to tone and firm it up, besides sit ups, any other exercise that’s effective?
If sit ups are the only way, how many should I do daily?

being a personal trainer and a bodubuilder let me tell, u its about variation dont wana go into too much scientific dtail but ur baody has adapted and probs reached plateu its peak u gota find ways to push it above the limits thats when itll find the need to build and cope with the higher demands, invest in a ab wheel search it on u tube to see how ti works may seem simple but god. i did three reps and my abs killed (good sign as i got over laod so they were building) i can do 200 situps a day but does nothign for me.. try that abs wheel if u cant find ti get a umbela nd put one in the middle and that works just as good.. gd lk

Is it possible to get abs without flexing?

I have a 6 pack when flexing them, but if I don’t flex, you can’t see them.

How do I get them to show without flexing?

And does this count as having abs?

Yeah, have a low enough body fat and you can have a six pack without flexing. Just do cardio along with ab workouts, that should do it.

I don’t mean liked ripped abs that guys sometimes have. I mean like, flat, toned stomach. I am skinny but I have some excess flab that I want to get rid of.

I do crunches everynight. I started at 50 and now I’m doing about 200 a night. I also do running for soccer and I swim everday for a competitive swim team..Yet the flab hasn’t gone away, haha. So what can I do to make it go away? Haha

crunches alone wont do it because they’re only working the top half of your abs so above your belly button
you need to add some leg raises, basically lie flat on the floor with your knees bent (feet touching the floor, knees about 110 degrees) and slowly lift your knees up towards your body
you should feel this working your lower abs, to make it harder you can make your legs straighter
you can also try the plank - face the floor and support yourself by your elbows and toes keeping your whole body completely straight and hold for as long as you can

I am taking 3-6 scoops of whey protein/day, Jack3d, Creatine, and am eating healthy. Should I do less in the gym? ultimately I want to get bigger…how does my routine look? Thanks!

Mondays: Arms/legs (2hours)

Tues: Back/Chest/Abs (2hours)

Wed: Cardio (ultimate frisbee)

Thurs: Arms/legs (2hours)

Friday:Back/Chest/Abs (2hours)

Sat:Off or cardio sometimes

Sun: Chest/Back/Abs (2hours)

How many reps / sets are you doing for your splits?
I never did more than 1 hour at a time but then my goal was never to get huge.

im a 14 year old boy, and im trying to get a hot body, abs, pecks, and arms… if i do 100 crunches and 100 push-ups every night, would i get ripped? im not wanting to get super big, just ripped enough so that i can feel secure when i run around without a shirt

Ok, im going to save you alot of dissapointment and heart-ache right now.
people that say "do 100 situps and pushups every night!" have NO clue what theyre talking about. THAT CAUSES OVER-TRAINING! Overtraining = Plateu
Plateu = NO RESULTS
Go to a gym dude.
Lift weights, you wont get ANY size from doing pushups, and no extra definition with just situps, there is no such thing as "spot fat reduction" look it up. You need to do cardio to get rid of the fat on your body, but you want big pecks and arms.
Guess what will lean you out and give you bigger muscles? thats right. the GYM.
20-30 minutes of cardio before your workout, at about 70-80% of your heart rate
and do split sets that target different body parts, go to the gym 4 times per week, plus your extra cardio. Look

Monday -> Cardio, run for 40 minutes
tuesday -> Cardio, 20-30 mins, Heart rate 70-80% of maximum, then do Chest and shoulders.
wednesday -> cardio 40 mins
thursday -> Back and triceps, plus 20-30 minute 70-80% cardio in the beginning
friday-cardio
saturday rest
sunday - legs and biceps, plus the whole cardio thing in the beggining.

You will gain muscle and lose fat assuming you have a good diet, but if you know nothing about training, i assume you know nothing about diet.
Eat MORE! I know this sounds crazy, but i was at 130 lbs, and had a 2 pack.
I did that, now im at 148-152 lbs, have a 6 pack, eating more raises your metabolism and promotes fat loss!
assuming you eat every 2-3 hours, and you fit in 6+ meals throughout the day, and eat 1 gram of protein for every pound you weight. Eat alot of carbs too, youll need it with this weight training regimen. its the only way to get the results you want, 100 crunches 100 pushups wont do shit
and after a workout, have a protein shake with fruit.

IM 5′8 and 160 pounds and im 15. Im have xtra flab so how can i loose it and get six packs. At the moment i only eat healthy and do 30 minutes of cardio exercise.. How long will it take me to loose weight so that i can start focusing on my abs?

It takes awhile to lose weight 3 weeks for a decent amount of weight to drop. if you start working on your abs now you will end up losing more weight in the process.

I am 15 years old. I’m Hispanic is that make a difference. Weight about 220 pounds. Whats the best way to get noticeable abs without going to the gym. here at home? what to eat what to do? should i get an instructor? and if so how much will he charge me? I’m not fat nor super skinny i am about average size about 30 in waist! Please help me. and how long will it take?

It takes dedication, determination & discipline to achieve your goals. If you don’t plan to devote all the above to it - then - forget it - it aint happening. You need to dump all the junk food, fast food garbage & sugary sweet soda’s. No smoking - no beer/ale - no booze - no drugs of ANY kind. Get on a good, healthy diet including plenty of boiled or steamed vegetables. Drink lots of water, fruit juices & fat free milk to help keep the traffic flowing. Snack on plenty of RAW fruit & veggies. Get up one hour early every morning & take a BRISK 30 minute walk - then - do the same thing again in the evening after dinner. Start doing push ups, sit ups, pull ups & skipping rope. Within 90 days you will be amazed. NO CHEATING!!

also, i usually am talking about my abs being less defined when i don’t flex them, would this be one of my problems, are they always pretty much somewhat not visible when they are not flexed?

Abs can be defined on it’s own, so no, it doesn’t have to be flexed to show. But it also depends on one’s body and effort to make it appear that way. And yes makeup can enhance the muscle definition. Did he use makeup or special effects? Probably, probably not. If you want abs, just google how to get abs or go to your local gym and talk to a personal trainer. I recommend the second option. Usually they’ll tell you what you need to do and if it’s fat you need to lose first, that could be why you’re not seeing your abs. Also, be patient, because it takes time to sculpt nice rock hard abs. People who have them, work out everyday and spend a lot of time doing it. You can’t just get them instantly. It can take roughly months to years, depending how hard you work to get it. So keep that in mind. Patience is the key, if you look at yourself everyday in the mirror, you’ll never notice them. Try working out and then check back a couple weeks later, this way you can notice change.
